Woodley Players Theatre Company is a Company limited by guarantee and a Registered Charity (No.1104254)

 

Woodley Players Theatre Company, established in 1988 as Woodley Methodist Players, perform a mix of plays and Gilbert and Sullivan operettas near to Woodley, Stockport, England, UK. From its formation, the society has striven to achieve the highest possible standards and over the last ten years has attracted high calibre actors, singers and musicians from a wide area, becoming a non-denominational group affording a warm welcome to all.

As a former member of the Greater Manchester Drama Federation WPTC received a number of nominations and awards for its players and productions.

Awards received:

The Gondoliers (2000): Best Supporting Male Performer + 5 Nominations.
Princess Ida (2001): The John Blackburn Trophy + 2 Nominations.
When We Are Married (2001): Best Supporting Actor.
Ruddigore (2002): Best Front of House + 1 Nomination.
The Yeomen of the Guard (2005) - 1 Nomination
